ABOUT
MAGGIE
She/Her
Hi! I’m Maggie! I was born and raised in Alberta and moved to Vancouver soon after finishing high school. The West Coast had always felt more like my speed and I haven’t looked back since. I attended Blanche Macdonald for their Professional Hair program in 2010 and after graduating dove headfirst into salon life, working in environments that had a strong focus on education. Learning and bettering my craft has always been an important part of my career path.
After 10 years in Vancouver, in 2018 I made the switch to island living and in 2022 teamed up with Sarah Maclean to start the new adventure of opening the 406.
I love building relationships with my clients and helping people to express their individuality and sense of confidence through hair. I enjoy the soft, beautiful aesthetic of balayage, but equally love the edge of a shag haircut or fringe.
When it’s sunny out you can find me at the beach or enjoying a cheeky patio hang. What else do I love? Denim on denim and a fabulous jumpsuit.

the 406.
Located in unit 406 at 645 Fort Street (The Yarrow building) downtown Victoria, the 406 is a collective of independent stylists. We are an eco-friendly, cozy space just wanting to have fun and do beautiful hair.
Minimizing our environmental impact is very important to us, we are proud to be a certified Green Circle Salon. Green Circle Salon program recovers 95% of beauty waste, including previously non-recyclable / hard-to-recycle items such as foils, excess hair colour and aerosol cans. There will be an eco fee of $2.50 added to every appointment, we thank you for helping us stay as sustainable as we can!
